Superman's Lair is Complete
Save for a few small details, the transformation of Nolan's digs from Cowboy "Round-Up" to Superman's Lair is complete. Hopefully this means the Man of Steel will sleep soundly!

Expedition: Mt. Whitney
Not long ago, the guys trip consisted of drunken debauchery in some exotic locale like Vegas or Scottsdale. Now, we go off and take on crazy feats like climbing the highest mountain in the lower 48 states. In early August, I was accompanied by a group of close friends to the top of Mt. Whitney. It was an awesome trip and just goes to show you what we're all capable of. The group included Ian Britton, Ted Spriggs, Pat Tasto, John Zietzke, Matt Collings, Gus Villafana and Fergus and Duncan McCreary. Everyone trained extremely hard for the trip and it was a huge success.

He's All Grown Up!
Where'd our precious little (ha, ha--Mason's never been little) baby go? He's up on all fours, moving forward and will be ready to do hot laps around Nolan and Riley anyday now. Oh yeah, he's definitely discovered his lungs; loves to hear his voice echo throughout the house from atop the stairs. Here he is just chilling in his chair.

Kung Fu Nolan
Nolan received his uniform last night at Tae Kwon Do. Master Kwon even tied his belt in front of the whole class...it was very cerimonious (not sure if that's even a word but, heh). If you look closely, you'll notice the Superman shirt underneath his uniform. He's so addicted! I guess it's like those pro football players who wear their old HS practice tee's underneath their jerseys, right?

Defending the Free World from Evil
None other than Superman and his Super Friend Batman.
Nolan has requested that we change his room to Superman theme. Heidi's on it and I spent last Saturday afternoon on a treasure hunt for all the Superman movies. He has an appointment tomorrow at the local tat shop...he's getting the Superman logo tattooed onto his chest. Today, while at the park, he told me he would have no problem on the rope course because "I'm the Man of Steel Daddy!"

Sea World
We recently took the boys to Sea World to see Shamu and all of her friends. It was a great day. Nolan and Mason had a blast and really liked the Sesame Street area. Below is a short picture video of our day.
